A trip to the WEST

During the July 4th weekend, I went on my first trip to the West Coast – San Francisco. It was a beautiful city. The weather was just amazing. I visited all the usual tourist spots in San Francisco city like Golden Gate, Fisherman’s wharf, Crooked Street and of course our “Saravana Bhavan” too. (How could I miss that? ;) Yummy!). I also went to Yosemite National Park. It was a wonderful place. The drive from San Francisco to there was breathtaking. On the whole, I had a good time with my friends. Here are few pictures:

We went to Yosemite during the Labor day weekend and we only saw water trickling through the rocks & my friends almost killed me for taking them there. But looks like you guys have gone at the correct time. What was the mode you took that falls picture with? It looks different & beautiful. Did you drive in the Crooked street?

Filby,

Oh..that shud have been bad. The falls was great now. And we also went rafting. It was good. That photo of the falls was taken in Sephia mode. I just came to know recently that such a mode was available in my camera...;). And yes, we did drive thru' crooked street. It was a terrific experience!

Prasanna,

Even I was thinking abt how people stay on that street. Its so steep and worse than that is you'll have people driving thru' ur drive way all day long. Anyways, I guess some people might have a liking for that. And the drive thru' Golden Gate bridge was also incredible. I can u'stand why you loved the city so much...the city definitely leaves a lasting impression on its visitors.

Arun,

I agree its a very happening place. But how long can you take all that is the question. I know, I'll be bored soon. But may be with ur interest, you may hold up a little longer.

You don't even remember why you chose that name? Avolo 'mappa'? Neeya?? Hmmmm...

And yeah, we sure missed that trail. From those pics, it looks like an exciting trail. And the view from the top of the falls, man...sure seems exhilarating! May be some other time...

Lovely pics, Preethi. The Bridge foto is my favourite. My stay in Melbourne is prolonging again. However, I am going to India (again :-) ) early next month. Did you check my last two posts? Comment?
